The Kwame Ture Leadership Institute (KTLI), a project of the Al-Kebulan Foundation, was established in 2000 as a vehicle for sharing the leadership sciences developed by and practiced in traditional African societies. We use the Internet, videos, printed materials and workshops to promote leadership and management practices used successfully in traditional Akan, Yoruba, Amharic, Gikuyu, Zulu, Kongo, Maroon, Rastafarian, Native Australian and other African cultures. Rooted in the Johari Sita and energized by the vision of Pan African unity defining the life and work of the late Dr. Kwame Ture, the Institute provides parents, teachers, youth services professionals and others with resources and programs that instill in our youth historical connectedness, team work, community service, perseverance, integrity, character and the other foundational leadership-followership skills and beliefs. These, we believe, are prerequisites for 21st century Black Community (African World) empowerment. Click Here to read Kwame Ture's Last Message |
